I have a issue regarding an embeded swf in html. When I try to
open the html page it shows me the preloader and stops loading
halfway but the status message says DONE.
Cause : I have a slow internet connection.The swf works on a
normal speed internet connection.
Question: I have a image of same size that of the swf.On
slow internet connection, Image loads up successfully but the swf
wont?I face the problem on both firefox and IE.
NEED HELP? Thoughts: Is it that flex conveys the browser that it is of
smll size than it actually is.So during a latency(slow connection)
the browser checks the file size of swf and displays as the swf is
loaded while the swf is yet to load.
have you looked at the example code for custom preloaders?
Although you may not want this functionality in detail, there is
some very useful information about the different events called
during startup, and how to make use of them to see what is going
on. At very least you could add in some temporary calls to
highlight what is going on.
