Whenever I print in landscape mode, the roll paper ejects correctly, but if I try to print in portrait mode or even in landscape mode with the vertical picture turned 90° sideways, the printer ejects almost another full picture length of paper once printing is complete. This is a pain because I can't tell the printer to "cut and eject" because the dotted line will be printed way down the roll in an area where future prints will likely be and if I cut the line there, then it is a total waste of paper. Currently, I have to print the portrait, eyeball where I am going to cut the paper, and then eject the entire roll and reload it which is a pain because these printers are finicky and usually don't load correctly the first try.
Anyone else experiencing this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I'm having the same problem. I see that you posted this quite a while ago, but did you get an answer?
I am considering a new printer. The P800 is on my short list. However, I have found Epson Support to be unhelpful in the past. Since I do my printing from LR, this subject is of interest.
They even sent me a new printer to resolve the roll paper ejection problem. It worked good once and then went back to the same problem. I've tried everything: checked for a firmware upgrade, printed from LR and PS, paper tray at different positions, manual setting the paper size, etc.
