    New to Flash

      Where can I get a quick tutorial to animate characters. I am a beginner animator and please see some of my work at http://www.mawministries.com/?page_id=314. I am new in flash so I was wondering if i need to learn action script to animate characters.

          It is not imperative that you learn actionscript to animate characters. I would imagine animators use very little of it actually. It can come in handy depending on your ultimate goal or to create effects.

          Just start with playing around with frames in the timeline. Treat them as frames of a film. Then see about working with motion tweens and shape tweens. Once you get an idea of the manually-created end of things, you'll know better for yourself if you need more from it.

          I don't know of any tutorials, but if you Google "Flash animation tutorial" I'll bet you find more than enough to keep you busy for awhile.

            I agree. No need to jump right into actionscript if you're going to focus on character animation.
