If you place the CTI playhead on your timeline so that the still you want to save is displayed in the Monitor panel, you should be able to output a freeze frame using Export & Share/Image.
Hi Steve, Do you mean I have to click/highlight on the inserted image or clip on the time line prior to saving the video?
The software choose random thumbnail no matter what I try, sometimes the videos thumbnails are saved from the beginning of the clip or middle part or end part of the clip. It doesn't allow me to save the clip with my own chosen of thumbnail. I have tried the freeze frame method too but my videos are always saved with the random thumbnail the software chooses. I use a desktop computer with Windows/Chrome for my internet browser.
You do not have to select the clip on your timeline. The program will output a free frame of what is displayed in your Monitor panel.
If you're getting a random frame, then you're doing something wrong. The steps I've described above will work.
I think Lillian is asking a different question than Steve is answering!
Is Lillian asking about what the clip looks like in the operating system, finder, Chrome, etc?
I think Steve is explaining how to save a frame as a photo.
I'm not sure there is an answer because I think it is the operating system, finder or Chrome that picks the thumbnail.
