Link objects together across pages. Move and scale simultaneously.

I'm a student of architecture and frequently use Indesign for creating posters and digital presentations for projects.

Often times the pages (especially in a digital pdf presentation) will look very similar:

Maybe a headline in the upper left corner.

A floorplan as the main feature on the page.

      A scalebar.

      A north arrow.

And this will be repeated for level 1, 2, 3 and so on.

What I would like to do is to link together for example the headlines and the floor plans across different pages. The content would of course be slightly different with the text saying "Level 1", "Level 2" and so on and the floor plan showing the different floors on different pages.

Can you link all the headlines so that when you move one textframe to the left all the linked features move together? And the same with the floor plan pdf:s; link them together so when you move or scale one all the linked ones move and scale together?

          • Do make text look equal use Paragraph Styles.
          • Do make content equal use the Content Tools and create linked content.
          • To make the appearance of pages equal use Master Pages or make Master Pages based on another Master Page.
          • To make an overall layout equal with borders, work all objects snapping on the border guides.
          • To make objects position equal, place them into an anchored frame. Use for that frame the same Object Style and take care that its position is defined in the style.
