Instead of relying on Dreamweaver to update Bootstrap, why don't you just reference the latest version from Max CDN? No muss, no fuss. Oh, and ditto for jQuery.
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css">
<script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.12.2.min.js" integrity="sha256-lZFHibXzMHo3GGeehn1hudTAP3Sc0uKXBXAzHX1sjtk=" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>
FYI: Scripts hosted on CDNs are better for the web. They load faster and it saves you the time, trouble & cost of hosting them on your own server.
Reasonable solution, but won't Dreamweaver keep telling me about the update?
That said, I haven't seen the reminder today and I've restored most of the settings and snippets.
Stay tuned .....

Following the update to CC 2017, this issue seems to be resolved. Thanks to all -- and particularly to Nancy O for reminding us all that linking to available online resources is a good idea.
