Set Max number of files allowed to be open in InDesign.

We are having issues with people leaving too many InDesign CS5.5 Ver 7.5 files open on the computer.  We would like to limit the number of files that can be open at one time.  Is there a registry setting for this or a setting in the program?  I don't see anything in the program except for the max number of recent items, but that is not what we are looking for.  I have searched the forums and I'm not finding the answer.  Thanks in advance.

The reason we are doing this is to limit the amount of memory that is being used when they leave 100's of files open.  Also when you try to close the program out you have to exit out of 100's of files.
