I had tried these suggestions by now, but it did not work either.
The installer does not work with the CC version and stop the update process right away.
The creative cloud application manager is up to date anyway. It had a automatic update six days ago.
I tried to update it manually nevertheless - also without success.
i'm having the same issue! Assume you are no closer to a solution.

Solution was to uninstall Lightroom, reboot the computer then open the Creative Cloud app and re-install Lightroom.
