I'm doing an animation project that consists in animating a puppet of a stick figure. I'am working on the run cycle right now.
The thing is, when I try to move any vertex to the left, it doesn't move. It's as if there was an invisible wall blocking the way of the vertex. How ever, if I go to an earlier part of the time line, I'am able to move the vertex as I desire. It's just a specific point that doesn't let me.
Does anyone know what could be the problem? Thanks.
We can't know. Show us screenshots and by all means do provide proper system info and version info for AE as well as more details about your comp.
make sure you are not using the collapse switch for this layer. if you are, you cant animate transform properties or you will suffer artifacts.
from the help files: Animating with Puppet tools in After Effects
Don’t animate the position or scale of a continuously rasterized layer with layer transformations if you are also animating the layer with the Puppet tools. The render order for continuously rasterized layers—such as shape layers and text layers—is different from the render order for raster layers. You can precompose the shape layer and use the Puppet tools on the precomposition layer, or you can use the Puppet tools to transform the shapes within the layer. (See Render order and collapsing transformations and Continuously rasterize a layer containing vector graphics.)
if this does not solve it, show us what's wrong.
