I wanted to have a web page for employees to view upcoming schedules and events without being public. Only way I could think of is creating a page that isn't connected whatsoever to the main website navigation, menus, or sister pages. For example, my website name, backslash / scheduling. Employees would enter this into their URL to view this page. Is this a good idea or is there another way?
I did this once a few years ago and did it on the server level. I was using Host Gator at the time but I am sure other hosts have the same option.
I needed a part of our site that only distributors could access. I created a button to click on in Muse and they had to enter a user name and password to get to the password protected pages.
I can't remember the exact steps but it was simple to do. Check your webhost's help or chat with them.
You can edit the navigation
1. Select the page in plan
2. Right click exclude the page from menus.
This would avoid displaying the page in menus.
