Import AI file into InDesign, Overprint Preview changes colors

I've imported an illustrator file into InDesign, but when I turn on Overprint Preview the colors change and are washed out.  It even happens when exporting to PDF.  It only happens on the imported file and the rest of the colors are ok.  What do I need to do to fix.
