No, you can't. Adobe recommend to use for this photoshop as a part of CC.
competitors such as QuarkXPress, serif PagePlus can do some corrections, but too not a soft for this.
I agree with Eugene. If you think there are a lot of people complaining about how big and slow InDesign is becoming, just add image editing features!
