since I got the update to macOS Sierra and the new version of InDesign, InDesign doen't recognize my fonts in FontExplorer.
If I had startet InDesign previously befor I activate a new font, I cannot work with that font. I have to restart InDesign to get the font activatet.
It's really annoying.
Does anyone have the same problems? Any solutions?
The plug-in probably hasn't been updated yet to CC 2017. Reinstall CC 2015.4 and use that until the update arrives.
This article talks about finding earlier versons than CC 2015, but it's still accurate:
I have the same problem; it is an issue that appears to be related to MacOS Sierra. We are using the same version of InDesign CC 2017. On MacOS Sierra, you need to quit InDesign to load the newly activated fonts (using Font Explorer X, or any other method). On MacOS El Capitan and earlier this was not required.
