Auto sync hard drive to Lightroom CC catalogue

Hi, I am new to Lr so sorry if this is a basic question. I have imported my hard drive into Lr and it is catalogued it no problem. My wife and I have various sources of taking new photos which automatically upload to my hard drive as and when they are created. How can I get the Lr catalogue to auto update when this happens?

          You have 2 options here.

While Lightroom does have an auto import function I don't believe it would be appropriate for you. Basically you will assign a folder for Lr to watch and when images are dropped into it they will be Moved to a folder specified in the File > Auto Import > Auto Import Settings... dialog.

If your workflow is such that you put your images in specific folders manually then all you need to do is select the parent folder in the Folder panel and right click on it. From the context menu select  Synchronize Folder.

You have the option of seeing the files via the Import Dialog box if you wish

          Hope that helps.
