My computer restarted unexpectedly while I was doing an update from InDesign 2015 to 2017 through the Creative Cloud Desktop app. Now, the app shows the InDesign update as complete, but when I try to open it through the Creative Cloud app or the Programs list, I get this error:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CC2017\WRServices.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.
I also get that error if I go to the Adobe site and try to download InDesign 2017 that way. In my Programs list, both 2015 and 2017 are listed.
Help? How do I get out of this InDesign limbo so that I can run InDesign again?
Choosing to uninstall through Creative Cloud actually kicked it back up to the "Update" list, and I was then able to reinstall InDesign 2017 and run it. 2015 was also removed as part of that installation.
