I've tried searching the net for creating photogenic button with creases like these http://www.einsteinindustries.com/, http://www.systemsavvy.com/webmaster.htm.
those buttons you normally see on electronics like radios and cell phones....i'm trying to recreate that crease effect you get between each buttons.

can someone please show me or give me a tutorial that does the creases.
p.s. i know how to do web 2.0 buts its just the crease i need now

It's actually very easy. Draw a 1 pixel wide vertical line in a few
shades lighter than the navbar. Clone the vertical line, and use your
arrow key move the clone one pixel to the right. Change the color of the
clone to a few shades darker than the navbar.

I'm new with Fireworks (and the rest too). Trying to make a buttom with several illustr files converted to .png. I've then stocked several buttoms into the adapted symbols since that is the only bib where you can put these creations since FW doesn't open the real buttom bib (?). So when I've created my first symbol buttom in a new file and trying to have my second buttom I can't reached it because it's not in the buttom bib and the only bib that is active is the one with the adapted symbols... So is there a way to get the new (self made) symbol buttoms into that buttom bib so they can be active in every new file?

              Hi Rik,

Can you describe what you mean by the word bib? I believe you mean
button instead of buttom. Perhaps if you uploaded an image of what you
are trying to describe to your website it would be easier to understand.

thanks for the reply Linda. I'm dutch so sorry for the bad translation...I'd first created several buttons(!) in Illustr., exported them as .png files. Opened in FireworksCS4 - modify- convert to symbol - save to custom library(in dutch: bib) - then when I want to create my second button (different from FW CS3 but the problem was the same), after the first one you need to import your second button from the custom library but instead of the 'buttons' the only thing that is active are the adapted symbols (the only library buttons that can be opened are those made by Adobe). So my question (problem) is how do I put my own buttom(s) into that custom library but in the 'button' map and not in the adapted symbols (since that's the only possibility when you pass by converting to symbol)? So now I've dragged & dropped them manually into the CS4 map program / library / buttoms, but I suppose there must be a normal way to do that...

Hi Linda, so difficult to start...I've made a small movie where I'll like to pass an image coming from the left and disappearing on the right (still have to do that but that I know: proporties settings 100 to 0%). When I look at the html file in DW the whole page is only to be seen for a second and then I have a blank movie ?... and I'll like to make 6 different pictures who pass by and disappear the same way... Is it possible to do the whole action in FWCS4 and then export that to DW?
