Error when trying to print

I yesterday afternoon I suddenly started getting these two dialogue boxes coming up when I try to print. The first says 'Documents can't be printed' and then 'There are no pages to print'. I uninstalled Acrobat and reinstalled but that didn't help.

I am running El Capitan and have the most current Acobat (since reinstalling). I can print the same files with Preview so not the printer or the files.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Try the following steps and see if issue with printing is resolved.

1- Print as image, open the pdf>click File>Print>select Advanced>check the box "Print as Image">OK

2- Check if there is any update available for Acrobat, launch Acrobat>Help menu>select Check for Updates.

What is the version of Acrobat DC installed on your machine?

If I select Print as Image I get the same error dialogue boxes.

Running Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Release Version 2015.020.20042

When the problem started I uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat.

Hi,

Could you please try restoring preferences for Acrobat DC and see if that resolves the issue.

(i)Quit Acrobat,

(ii)Drag the following files from the Users/[Usrname]/Library/Preferences folder to the Desktop:

    Acrobat WebCapture Cookies

   com.adobe.Acrobat.pro.plist or com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro_x86_9.0.plist

Acrobat Distiller Prefs and com.Adobe.Pro.plist (if issue with distiller)

The Acrobat folder, which contains prefrences for forms(MRUFormsList), collaboration (Offline Docs), and color settings (AcrobatColor Settings.csf)

(iii) Restart Acrobat.

Let me know the results.

Thank You,

Shivam

Hi Shivam,

I went to the preferences folder but cannot find any of the files you have mentioned.

See screen grab.

I am sorry for the typo in my previous reply.

Try to remove the following:

com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.plist

The Acrobat folder

Hi,

Could you please try changing settings under Enhanced security and see if that resolves the issue:

Launch Acrobat>click Acrobat Pro (in the top left corner of the screen)>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)> uncheck the box "Enable Enhanced Security">OK

Please note: Disabling this feature is for troubleshooting purpose only, please enable enhanced security after troubleshooting.
