I haven't had those issues on my Mac running that version of the OS.
Do earlier versions of AE work correctly on your system?
they did. Yesterday i managed to open c4d lite, but it won't work on AE.
have no clue...
I haven't heard anybody else with issues quite like you're describing. There were a number of people who experienced some crashes during previews, but not during renders or using C4D. (And those crashes will hopefully be fixed in an update that the AE team says is "coming very soon".)
When you say, "crashes", could you please be a bit more specific? What happens? Are there error messages? Etc. What hardware is in your machine? What are your render settings? Do you have the hardware accelerate panels etc. preference on or off?
This is strange. I tried on my iMac, and everything works fine.
on the macbook is not. I also tried to reinstall AE. AE doesn't crash it's only extremely slow.
i'm running on
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014)
2,8 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB DDR3 a 1600 MHz
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB
CUDA is active.
really don't know what to say...
This may sound crazy, but turning wifi off solved the problem. Can't tell you why... but it did.
Thanks for sharing what worked!
Cineware uses networking protocols to communicate between Cinema 4D and After Effects. So, there is probably some sort of port issue going on that needs to be sorted out on the MacBook.
