Is it possible to apply a second fill to a single text object?

Similar to how Illustrator handles multiple fills and strokes in the Appearance panel, I'm hoping to do two different color/transparency fills to one text object in InDesign. The only solution that I've found right now is to copy/paste-in-place a duplicate text object. Due to the scale of the project team that I'm working with, I'm hoping that there's a more sophisticated way out there to accomplish this.

Attached is an Illustrator screenshot of what I'm hoping to replicate in InDesign. The text has two fills. First: a multiplied set to red. Second: a saturation set to white (removes underlying colors in image).
