Hi,

I just downloaded Draw to my iPad. I am trying to figure out how to save my new vector files as .Ai or illustrator 8 formats. I can't figure out how to do this. Do I need a different app for my iPad to do this or is it impossible to do?

Help with this problem is greatly appreciated!

Hi ReelP.

If you're using the Creative Cloud versions of our desktop apps you can use the Open in Adobe Desktop Apps function.

If you're not using the Creative Cloud versions of the desktop apps you can use the Send to CC Files as PDF function then bring that .pdf into whatever version of Illustrator you're using.

Both links are in the Share menu (in the top nav of an open drawing).

Hope that helps.

Thank you for your help Sue!

I am trying to figure out if I can do this without using my computer, though.

Well, you could definitely manage until the point that you need a .ai file because you can access the PDF in the Creative Cloud Files folder in the CC Mobile App but you'll need Illustrator at some point after that. Right?

Sue.
