I have created a panorama in Lightroom. I did a cut intentionally slightly outside the picture - thinking the white corner in the sky is easy to fit with the repair brush.
My problem is that nor repair nor copy works. The white corner can't be painted. My workaround was to export a jpeg an fix this. (An export to dng did not work either.)
Do you know a better solution? I don't want to use the new boundary wrap feature. How I adress this bug to Adobe to get i fixed in one of the next updates?.
Thank you very much.
Only a little cut of the panorama.
See this post from the Adobe lead engineer in the official Adobe feedback forum: Lightroom 6: Clone brush ineffective on Panorama's white edges. | Photoshop Family Customer Community . The current behavior is by design, though the engineer acknowledged the potential for an "improvement" to the current design. Please add your me-too vote and opinion of why you want the improvement to that topic, making it a little more likely Adobe might implement it.
Meanwhile, you've got the following options, none of which are likely as satisfactory:
1. Use Boundary Warp.
2. Crop the transparent areas.
3. Do the merge in Photoshop and use its Content Aware Fill Transparent Areas.
4. Edit the LR merge in Photoshop or another pixel editor and use its clone tool to manually fill in the transparent areas.
Thank you very much for the list of workarounds and link to the feedback forum. I have added my "please change request".
I think the workaround list wil be helpful for other LR users.
