    Why won't Acrobat Pro DC won't save in certain files?


      I have a unique glitch. I just updated my older Acrobat Pro to Acrobat Pro DC. Saving file in MS Word or Excel I can make minor change (page rotation) text edit and then use the save option with no problems. However, I also have PDF file that were generated by a printer/fax/scanner, then sent via email to me as an attachment. When I go to do anything with these files "Save" is not an option (its dimmed on toolbar and in menu). Even doing a simple page rotation can't be saved. So:

      1) Why can I save changes/edits in some PDF files and not others?

      2) What is unique about a scanned PDF file that won't let me save changes.

      3) how do I fix this?
