Quick question; so I've always enabled lens profile correction in my Canon camera, which I understand will apply these to my RAW shots, now if I import these to LR and hit enable lens profile, will this effectively double the lens profile modifications?
Should I disable this in camera/ not do this step in Lightroom, or does LR know that lens corrections have already been made?
Thanks in advance for any info!
What model Canon camera(s) are you using?
It is my understanding Canon EOS DSLR cameras apply lens corrections to JPEG files, but not raw files. The raw file EXIF data will contain information concerning lens corrections camera settings, but they can only be applied using Canon's Digital Photo Professional software application. Many point-and-shoot cameras do apply lens corrections to the raw data files, including come Canon models. More information here:
Thanks for that, I use a 60d and 80d, and haven't used DPP before, good to know I haven't been doing the wrong thing!!
