I have an AE composition that I want to add a soundtrack to. From what I've read, the current way of doing that is to edit the AE project within Audition...only the Edit in Audition menu item (under Edit) is greyed out.
This is on a Windows 10 system, 64 bit, 16GB ram, all updates installed, Audition installed and working (at least in standalone mode).
Also, the file association for SESX files is defined and working (I saw some posts from a few years ago that indicated this was, at least at one time, a problem).
How do I get these two Adobe products to work together the way they claim they are able to?
The Edit in Audition command in After Effects is only enabled when you have selected a footage item with audio (.wav, .mov with audio, etc.) in the Project or Timeline panels. This command opens Audition and opens the referenced footage file.
Audition can not open an After effects project.
