Cursor has become black square in Reader

Document is gray, cursor is square, black and unusable within document?

Just downloaded Reader. Cant use it?

I tried to follow those steps and it is the wrong file path and my acrobat does not have that file name.  Step don't work!!!

I have the same problem. HP Envy ECCP5.  Acrobat Reader DC most current version.

Also, let us know dot version of Reader and the operating system installed on the machine? You may refer to the steps given in this link on how to check the version: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC
