Photoshop CC 2017 SDK - Access/Manipulate Layer Effects (Patterns)

Hi,

Is there a way to access and manipulate the blending effects for a layer through the sdk?

I'm primarily interested in manipulating the pattern overlay from patterns we would generate from various parameters from the filters UI since we can't create layers, this would allow for an easy and non destructive method of trying different patterns.

There's traces of that system in PIStringTerminology.h but from various grep's we've tried in the sdk tree, there does not seem to be Classes or Methods/Functions that directly relate other than perhaps PatternSpec struct.

Barring access to layer effects, is there a way to apply a pattern to a selection from the sdk?

Aside from CreateNewPatternPreset(), we can't seem to find anything that uses PatternSpec in the sdk tree or forum for reference on how to use it.

Thanks!

I would run the Getter plugin from the SDK and see if the information you are looking for is there. Doesn't sound good from your research so far.
