Unable to stop Export once started, Background Task box is cut off

For a while now, I have been unable to halt Exports in the middle of them. If I click on the Background Task icon to open the dialog box, the Export completion bar goes off the side of the box and does not display the "X" needed to cancel a Task. See below for a screenshot. I seem to be the only one in my group experiencing this, so I'm perplexed.

Things I have tried:

1. Expanding/maximizing the Background Tasks dialogue box

2. Uninstalling/reinstalling InDesign

3. Resetting my Workspace

4. Restarting my computer (many times)

Info about my computer:

1. HP Z Book using Windows 10.0

2. InDesign 2017.0 Release (this also happened with 2016 versions)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
