Pressing delete on layer in CA crashes it

I was hoping to be able to delete a no longer needed layer by selecting it in CA 2017 beta on a Mac and pressing Delete. CA froze up; I had to use Force Quit to get it back. This may have been exacerbated by the scratch disk being nearly full and and nearly as I can tell having no way to change scratch disks.

Yes - if you don't have enough free space you can run into crashes. and freezing. A lot of times I'll purge my caches from other Adobe products (AE is the big culprit for me) to make more room.

After freeing up space, maybe try deleting in the original PSD or AI instead and see if that works any better.
