I am looking for a smart way to import client picks into my Lightroom. I usually export all shots to my clients and have them select the ones they like.
My clients then sends me a list of filenames which they would like me to edit and then I need to flag these shots in my lightroom catalog but instead of my picking each file individually in Lightroom, can I make an “import-file-name” function that flags the file?
I hope you can help me!

There is sure to be a plug-in for this, but there is a work-around method in Lightroom if the filenames listed are exactly the same as your photos in the catalog-
Edit the list of filenames given to you in a text editor (eg. Windows Notepad)
Remove all paragraph markers, separate filenames with a comma (and no extra spaces).
Select all the text, and Copy & Paste it into the filter search box. Filtering for "Text: Filename: Contains: Your list"
So text like- 1234,1235,1236,1240 will find those filenames in the grid to either star rate, keyword, or color label.
Thank you wobertc. You are a star! It works like a charm.
