I have a file that was started in InDesign CC 2015. When I updated to CC 2017, the file would open, I could work on it, but it locked up when I tried to save it. I have exported it, done a  'Save As', and copied the pages into a new document. Nada works.

Have you tried exporting to an IDML file, then re-opening that IDML file and trying to do a Save As?
