Hello fkuhlmann, would you like to tell me if you managed to solve your problem. I am in the same situation you mention. Thanks in advance for your response.
This issue is resolved in the thread "Problem with one of the lessons".
cesararevalo, were you able to figure this out? I can't seem to find the "Problem with one of the lessons" thread. Perhaps they renamed it to give it a more descriptive title?
[update: I'm not sure if this is the best solution but this appears to work - http://dreamweaverforum.info/flex-week/144329-exercise9-day-3-issue-livecycle-ds-es.html
Hi jcs6p. I found the Problem with one of the lessons: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=60&catid=833&threadid =1387349&highlight_key=y&keyword1=problem
If you could try the instructions here and if it works for you, would you mind breaking it down for me because I cannot get it to work and I have no idea why. If you could, that'd be greatly appreciated. If not, no worries, I'll keep at it. Thanks.
Have you tried the instructions for the link from the post in my update? Those are the instructions I used and it worked for me. The basic thing to do (which it looks like your link was able does as well) is to select the Tomcat option instead of J2EE when you install the LCDS application. In my case I did a full uninstall/reinstall of the LCDS app.
Of course as a result there are some slight modifications to the steps from the Exercise 9 pdf such as changing the port (I believe to 8400) and the associated file paths but those are all detailed in the link I provided. Here's the same post but in the Adobe forum instead of the Dreamweaver forums:
I hope this works for you as unfortunately I'm beginner myself and am not sure how else to help out :).
