Are Weird Things Happening in Your InDesign Paragraph Pallette Since Upgrading?

Hello. I upgraded my CC a few weeks ago. Since then, InDesign is doing a very strange thing. When I'm working on text and adding space either before or after a sentence, when I key that by hand into the paragraph pallette, InDesign thinks it's actual copy. For instance, if I key in 0p3 in the "Space After" box, that type replaces the copy I highlighted! Any ideas?

A LOT of threads about this bug here already.

1. Turn on "Application Frame" under menu "Window".

and / or

2. Navigate to Preferences -> Advanced Type -> Show Adornment on Text Selection/Text Frame for more Type controls  >>  uncheck these.
