I'm trying to use Prelude to import footage from a Sony XDCam camera. I'm using the camera as my card reader and it's connected directly to the editor. The two cards in the camera mount and I can see the BPAV folder if I go into Finder.
But while Prelude will recognize the cards, it won't show any video clips or even the BPAV folder on the card.
I can drag the AVI files from Finder into Media Encoder and that works fine, but that makes bulk importing and stitching clips together much more difficult. Any recommendations?
I'm currently running OSX 10.12 and I updated Prelude to the latest version.
Thanks
Chris
Hi Chris,
We tried with Sony XDcam footage and it is working fine at our end.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for writing.
Are you able to locate same media in Media Encoder "Media Browser" window.
Also please mention Prelude Version.(Prelude CC > About Adobe Prelude)
Thanks

Just like Prelude, Adobe Media Encoder will recognize the cards in the Media Browser, but will not allow me to access the cards.
I'm using Adobe Prelude 2017 Release Build 6.0.1 (3)
Thanks
Chris
