After re-installation of Windows 10 the serial number of Lightroom 6 (correct input) is not being accepted any longer. What could the reason be and what can I do?

What happens when you paste in your serial number? (You are doing a copy and paste, right?) If there is an error message, please quote the complete unedited word-for-word error message.

Is your serial number 24 digits in 6 groups of 4? Please answer YES or NO. Do not post your serial number itself in your reply.

YES 24 in 6 - What I have learned: The issue is that I have to deactivate the first installation. However I don't find the relevant button which should be under Help normally.

Yes, I have followed this already but I can only deactivate my current installation. Caused by the crash and re-installation I can't deactivate the previous installation which is the invalid one. I need to deactivate the first installation on the PC which is not existing any longer.
