Photoshop CC 2017 crash print again and again

Hi,

I know there has been more discussion of this, but this is something that is making me crazy, and I don't have a solution.

Resetting the preferences with Atl Ctlr Shift is not working.

Delete the files "Adobe Photoshop CSx Prefs.psp" and "PluginCache.psp"  working but only for one print!

In the second print the program is crashing.

Then I have to do it again for each print.

This is not a driver error, cause from other programs I can print.
This is very very anoying and should be fix.

Driver has been updated, reinstalled.

CC 2017 is updated.

Please advice.

Thanks,

Ady.

Exception code: 0xc0000374 error indicates either a CLR defect or a heap corruption, the process will be terminated immediately.

Prime culprits include incompatible printer drivers, security software, and corrupt Windows user profiles.

The suggestions I gave you solve many problems for people.

You could also try Memtest86+ to see if you have a memory module problem.

The last best way is for you set your system OS to generate a crash dump.

You could get it to create crashdumps using   this. However, I

Try renaming helper.exe to helper.old

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC

2017\Required\Plug-Ins\Spaces\Adobe Spaces Helper.exe

Run PS again and see if that helps.

The only other suggestion I can offer is to run a registry cleaner like CCleaner

some People dont like to run such programs, but windows for some reason doesnt like that file

i use the program  Every 3 months, and it helps

everyones mileage does vary

beyond that it could be a permissions issue that occurs when PS writes to the registry during instal

but that becomes a Microsoft/Adobe issue

let me think on it

get back to you tomorrow

Sorry this is not a computer issue, this is adobe issue.

This is a bug when CS wants to load the print setting of the file.

No other program is crashing when I try to print.

If that was a freeware, I could understand , but not top program as CS 2017, that I am paying for monthly.

However, I'm not sure that will help. The applications crashing are most likely not the ones corrupting the heap as well.

About the most surefire way to do this is to follow the instructions given above to enable crashdump generation from applications, and then use gflags. You can get gflags by downloading Debugging Tools from the   Windows WDK 8. Once done, you'll need to initially navigate to gflags. Most likely it'll be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.0\Debuggers\x64\gflags.exe. With it open, select only in System Registry tab the following:

* Enable heap tail checking

* Enable heap free checking

* Enable heap parameter checking

* Enable heap validation on call

NOTE: These settings may or may not cause your system to crawl or reach an unstable state, and may even affect Safe Mode to that amount. I recommend setting up a System Restore point prior to doing this.

Restart your computer after clicking "Apply" then "OK" on gflags. If all goes well, your system will at least be responsive enough for you to try and run one of the problematic applications. If it crashes, the settings you made prior to have it produce a crashdump should go into effect.

BTW this issue is known to cause printing issues with Microsoft Office application as well.

This not a issue that only effects Adobe products.

Good Luck ............  we are all counting on you.

Well I don't work for Adobe so other then give you my professional opinion based on being a Microsoft Tech Professional for 30 years, on what your problem is; my final suggestion is you might want to take your issue over to the Microsoft forums for help.

Your issues are with your operating system, not with your Adobe products.

This is a common for many apps that are used in a windows OS environment, and very, very difficult issue to fix.

The options I gave you are all things that I have recommended over the years and have been tried by people to help them with their situation. Wish I could have helped you more.

Sorry

Well if you can get a dump file and post it here, I can analysis it and offer further suggestions.

I just hate suggesting people look under the covers if they don't do it for a living.

That is why I am very careful with what I suggest people do.

can you try running the mem test and ccleaner, and disabling your anti virus software first before you try debugging your issue?

Also I would reboot after you try each suggestion, and try PS again.

Its usually a process of elimination.

Something is buggering up things on your system.

Well this is still happening.

Be aware, don't save your files after you print them! it you don't save, it will not happen.

This is one of the worst bugs ever, in a payment platform, I don't believe that after so many years adobe didn't fix it.

Its a shame.
