I've noticed so much of the stock pictures on this site are obviously color corrected or enhanced in some way. What sells more photos that have been touched up or raw?
A little bit of colour correction is normal in all photography.
As for which is better? I'd say it depends on the image and the contributor's intended market.
For an example, an image of a lion in the wilderness would probably be best with very little post processing while an image of a fairy godmother may need a bit of enhancing to make it 'magical'.
