I've also tried to reinstall InDesign 2017 but it didn't help. I am using Windows 10.
Try trashing your InDesign preferences:
Close and relaunch InDesign, and IMMEDIATELY hold down Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Ctrl + Opt + Shift (Mac), and respond in the affirmative to the dialog asking if you really want to replace the preferences. You must be extremely fast on the keyboard (if you don’t see the confirmation prompt, you were too slow).
You may need to do this a couple of times before getting the hang of it!
I've cleared preferences multiple time. The preferences got cleared (I know it because now I cannot see my previous opened files) but the problem with crash was not fixed.
I've tried InDesign on Windows 7 with the same version of VCRUNTIME140.dll and it worked. But I have Windows 10
Try restarting the system and launch again.
Tried multiple times, Also tried to update Windows, reinstall InDesign completely
Did you find a solution? I am still having this problem.
