Do you want each letter to change when the mouse is over it? Or do you want the whole word to change at one time?
Im guessing the firs option.
Each letter would change from one side to the other of the object when it slides over. So it looks like real time. Almost like an eraser that is leaving something else on the chalkboard while you erase what was originally there. Does that help to visualize?
Does it need to stay lowercase or is it just lowercase when the mouse is over it?
The image that is already there is the text in UC. Then a logo slides from left to right, changing the text image to LC as it passes over. Each word is a seperate image and what I described above is the process that it needs to follow. I can't work with actual text because of the fonts. Do you know of a way to create this animation? Would I be able to mask over the UC and do an opposite mask on the LC while the logo is in motion? Duh.
Thanks for all your help, I think I just answered my own question.
I was trying to figure out how you could use masking with your objects on different levels but I got stuck somehow, surely you can achive your effect with those features and hopefull someone will come in with a simpler approach.
Good luck as I still try to figure it out...
Oh ok...i think i get it now. I was thinking that you wanted it to change when the mouse was moved over it. This is not hard at all. Is this what your looking for? (Click here to see example: EXAMPLE
if so you can download the .swf to see how i did it:
Sorry that it is not very well done...i did it in about 5 min. If you have questions just ask.
Hope that this helps.
Yes, that is just what I need to do. I'm embarassed a little that the process didn't dawn on me earlier but thank you so very much for taking the time to illustrate and build what I am searching for!
Thank you so much!
