Hi everyone,

We are updating a booklet that has a number of text boxes. Texts are formatted in a consistent way, but no text style had been created (shame on us).
Is there a way to:
- copy the formatting

- creating a style from it

- ask indesign to attach all similar formatted texts to the newly created style?

Years ago it seems to me I saw a solution to this, but I can't find it now. Can anyone help me?

Thanks!

You could use Find/Change to do this. Create a style for the text that you are using. Open find change and use the Find Format and Change format sections. In the Find Format section, define the properties of the type you want to find, in the change format section, choose the paragraph style you want to apply. I'm sure this could also be scripted as well.
