    Performance In After Effects

So besides the typically requirements or recommended requirements for After Effects, I wanted to hear from other users and professionals about what system specs they have for creating content in After Effects and how good their system preforms.

      My system specs :

      CPU - Intel® Core™ i7 5820K Processor

      MOBO - ASUS X99-A

      RAM -32 GB [8 GB x4] DDR4-2800

      GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 - 4GB - EVGA Superclocked

      Power Supply - 850 Watt - EVGA SuperNOVA 850 - 80 PLUS Bronze

CPU Cooler - Corsair Hydro Series H55 120mm Liquid CPU Cooler

      SSD - 256GB SanDisk Z400S

      SSD - Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB

      SSD - Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB

      HDDs - 2TB HDD

Currently I do different things with 3D and animation within after effects and sometimes with many layers.

I wasn't sure if there is something I could do to speed up my preformance besides getting a better graphics card.

      Anyone got any opinions?

Adding a better Graphics card (GPU) will not change the performance of the current versions of AE by any measurable amount. I would look at the Premiere Pro system requirements and recommendations if you want to improve performance. AE is slow and will probably be slow for a while. It's the way that the frames are processed and there's not much you can do about it except learn how to optimize your projects and use codecs that are faster to render.
