I like to implement some code which requires a minimum jQuery version of 1.9.1 or higher.
Muse is using 1.8.3.
In the 'Page Properties' you can add your script tags to the 'Head' section.
Then on the page itself you can use the 'Insert HTML' to add the code to the page.
If the code added to the page needs to be styled or anything you will have to do that on your own as you won't be able to do it in Muse.
Thank you for your explanation. I know how to do it, but I'm not sure if there are any conflicts muse if I add a "higher" version of jQuery.
Make a back up of your site and try it. Shouldn't be an issue but easy to test.
