Please check is the operating system updated to the latest update, also you try and reset the Photoshop preferences back to default and check if that helps.

Hi  I did had the same I was trying to make psd for my content transfer app and photo shop crashed , I thought its OS, I restarted the PC 2 times problem did persisted , in last I did un-installed the adobe and did installed again , that did solved the problem...
