Suggestion: Ability to change background colour, and tool colour default

Just wanted to mention this, though it may have already been said -

It would be *very* useful to be able to change the background layer colour, which doesn't seem possible in the app currently (?)

Particularly as the current default isn't even white but off-white (likewise the default "basic round" brush seems to be off-black, not black)

          Hi Harriet,

This is coming to the app... sometime this year I believe (I'm sorry I can't be more specific than that). In the meantime, this is how I add color to a background in Draw:

Zoom out on the canvas until I can see it in its entirety on the screen

Tap the Shapes icon (circle/triangle) in the upper nav and choose the square

Resize the square (two finger drag it) until it fills the canvas

When it's the right size, double tap it to get the square outline

Then long-press (press and hold) inside the square to fill it with color

Then create a new draw layer and place the layer with the color below it

Hopefully that will help until changing the background color is a feature in Draw.

          Sue.
