I installed the adobe Acrobat(Acrobat Professional 11.0 WIN ESD D) to the PC of my colleague so that he is able to use the electronic signature.
When we created the PDF File with the signature and try to use it in an online page we got the following error:
(A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider. Client certificate doesn’t contain
Qualified statements extension and therefore doesn’t apply for advanced electronic signature).
Would you please be so kind and let me know how to get a qualified certificate ?
Thank you very much in advance for your help and best regards,
The error you got is saying 2 different things. The first is that the certificate your using is not from one of the companies on the Adobe Acrobat Trust List. See https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/approved-trust-list1.html for the companies they trust. The second has to do with Qualified Certificates, which are used as part of eIDs (elecronic IDs, used in a lot of Europe). A Qualified Certificate and Advanced Electronic Signature is legally the exact same as your written signature on a piece of paper. You would need to be from a country that is using eIDs to be able to use that signature.
