Premiere Pro Only Importing and Draging Audio onto Timeline

Whenever I try to import my footage to premiere, it only imports the audio. I am using footage directly from a gh4 and anytime I want to use a piece of footage I have to restart premiere and it will let me import one piece of footage with video and then after that only audio. Its not the footage because when I tried to take a sequence and drag it into another sequence it did the same thing, only dragging the audio onto the timeline. This is very frustrating and has made it almost impossible to edit my videos because I have to keep restarting premiere every time I want to add another clip.
