Depends on what you mean by "apply to the component".
You can certainly have any component listen for and react to the button's click event, as the event bubbles through the display list. Then you use the currentTarget property of the event to get at the component instead of the button.
You could also, in the click listener for the button, dispatch the component's click event.
thanks, will look into it....
My problem was i had a comboBox with the text set to white because i had a black background. When I changed to full screen mode the text went back to its default value of grey. The only way i could overcome this was to place a label exactly above it, this remained white whatever screen mode, the only problem being that it masked the comboBox from being clicked. The solution turns out to be very simple: on the label I added click="myComboBox.open()"
I've never seen the ComboBox change text color like this before--I can't duplicate it. Can you show me the combobox code you have that does this so I know what to look out for?
Sure, I can send you an archive of the code that demonstrates this behaviour, it also does it with a button I have too. How can i send you a zip file?
Mike, I sent you a private msg with an email addy. Thanks.
