How to make a video logo in After Effect with text?

I'm a film student, and for a class assignment, I have to create a logo for a movie production company (not a real one, just the logo for a fake company). I have an idea in my head for what I want to create, but I'm not sure how complicated it would be to actually do it. I have some experience with AE, but not much.

I'd like to use this video here of a ship sailing ( Fast Aerial Around Schooner Sailing On Ocean Aero Denmark Stock Footage Video | Getty Images ) and when the video is finished, to become smaller, while at the same time, the name of the movie company (Maritime Films) would appear underneath the video. I'd like for the background to be brown crinkled paper, so that it looks like a treasure map. the background would not appear until after the video resizes, and then the name would appear on top.

Any tips on how I can achieve this, especially the parts with the background and resizing of the video? I really appreciate it, thanks!

***I also don't know how complicated it would be, but I'd like to put an effect on the video, so that the ship looks like a drawing in the last few frames. so that it would go from the video to a simple drawing of a ship on the sea. If this is too advanced for me, I'll forget it, but I thought that it would be a nice effect and would get me a couple more points with the teacher, haha. thank you!

Everything you are asking about is just basic AE. AE is not automatic and you'll have to spend some time learning the interface and the procedure of animating the properties of your layers. I would start here: Basic AE

When you have a little bit of a handle on AE then come back and ask some specific questions. All you would be doing is adding a new layer for each element and animating the transform properties of each layer. I'm not trying to be critical but it doesn't sound like a good idea to me
