Every time I delete the decimal in an input field, the number to its left is also deleted. I need values like text size to be even numbers. So if my text size is 26.65pts, I want to delete the remaining .65pts. But if my selection also highlights the decimal 26[.65], and I hit delete, I'm left with 2 not 26. I find that very strange and frustrating.

Is there a valid reason for this functionality or is this broken?
In my opinion it is not intuitive to leave the decimal point when deleting, and I can not see how it is advantageous to be able to delete the extra number by highlighting the decimal.
