Well this is a first for me. A student's FLA file has 3 buttons on the stage with just the basics. Two buttons have sound attached to the over state, and when I hover over the buttons the sound is triggered! And the cursor changes to the pointing glove/hand. This is in the program, on the stage, not the SWF. One of the buttons has some text in the down state, so when I click on this button instance on the stage the text appears. I've never seen this before, am I missing something? The FLA document is acting like a SWF. My first guess is that the student imported a SWF to the stage. (The beginning student doesn't know what they did.) What do you think? (Animate CC 2017)
Control menu, Enable Simple Buttons. The feature has been there since Flash 4 I think, if not earlier, but it's not that famous an option.
That's it! Thank you so much, that was driving me crazy.
