Cant open a new document in Illustrator CC 2017

Hi guys,

Since today I have Illustrator and can not use it unfortunately.

If I want to create a new document I only see this windo

Adobe Support could not help me.

Das könnte ein Problem mit Avast Antivirus sein.

Wenn es nichts bringt, das zu deinstallieren:

Voreinstellungen > Allgemein: "Gewohnte Benutzeroberfläche "Datei neu" verwenden"

Ich habe Avast, ja. Meinst du ich solle Avast deinstallieren oder schlägst du was anderes vor?

Avast muss runter, weil es noch weitere Probleme mit Illustrator macht.

Ist das schon immer so? Oder erst seit einer bestimmten Version?

Also glaubst du, dass es gefixt wird? Habe für Avast ja auch Geld ausgegeben.

Aufgefallen ist es mit der aktuellen Version oder vielleicht einer früheren.

Ob es repariert wird, weiß zumindest hier im Forum derzeit niemand.

I'm having the same problem with my new laptop. I just got it this month, but AI only produces a black screen when I create a new document. I can't even make a shape on it or text- nothing. I don't use Avast, just Windows Defender. My laptop is 4K, so not sure if that matters. Here is a screenshot of what I get when creating a new document. I also tried the recommendation above, but it didn't work. I also made sure, "Show Artboards" was selected in the view. Any clues? Thanks- Natalie

Your problem is not the same, the original poster could not get past the new screen, you already have a new document window.  Please start a  new post and we will try to help you.
